How We Got Started

From Hobby Project to Real-World Test

What started as a small summer coding project quickly turned into something more. We shared an early version of the lift status display with fellow homeowners at a ski property we’re involved in & they wanted it. So we doubled down, refined the design, and committed to making it genuinely helpful and very reliable. After a few iterations, we installed the system for the winter season and gathered feedback from guests and staff.

Built on Real Feedback

Over time, the system became more reliable, more polished, and more useful than we expected. Guests loved having clear, real-time mountain information. Staff loved answering fewer repetitive questions. That’s when we realized we had something worth sharing with other hotels and resorts.

What We Focus On

Today, Frosty Pixel focuses on one thing: making real-time mountain intelligence effortless for hospitality properties. We ski and snowboard, we spend time around resorts, and we know how valuable accurate, timely information can be. That’s why we obsess over reliability, data quality, and design.
We don’t try to do everything, we just try to do this extremely well.

Always Open to Good Ideas

Frosty Pixel exists because of real-world feedback, and it keeps getting better the same way. If you live or work in the mountains and have ideas that could make the experience better for your guests or your team, we’d love to hear them.
